The Human Rights Action Center is committed to creating awareness and access to human rights for all people. We encourage you to engage as a citizen and communicate your concerns about human rights to your government. By sending a written letter to your local government representative, you can help to raise awareness on human rights issues that matter to you. To contact your local representative, you can consult this Online Congressional Directory to find their contact information.

Looking for a cause to get involved in? HRAC would like you to contact your local representatives about our initiative to have the Universal Declaration of Human Rights printed in all passports. Your letter can help push our government to take this step towards universal human rights. By sending this letter you are asking the government to acknowledge that these rights belong to all people and the governments themselves. The more you help, the greater are our chances for success.

Another way to support the Human Rights Action Center is by donating to the organization. HRAC is a non-profit organization and is currently engaged in several human rights campaigns. We need YOU to help us succeed.  Please make a donation to help us continue our work.

Dear Friends and Human Rights Advocates,

I hope my annual missive finds you and your family well and happy. Thanks so much for your past support for our human rights work. I hope you will once again support Human Rights Action Center as you make your year-end contributions. The need seems to grow exponentially these days.

Human Rights Awareness. Needless to say, human rights is not on the agenda of the American government right now. This makes our work over the next two years even more significant. Human Rights Action Center will continue to blog about human rights issues in the US and world. This is the time our collective voices need to be raised again and again. Please help us spread the word by sharing our blogs on your social media platforms.

Yemen. HRAC was an early and often lonely voice calling for the USA to remove its participation with Saudi Arabia in Yemen. Our blogs about the war in Yemen and the famines in South Sudan and Yemen have been making an impact. We must continue to keep up the pressure on.

Volunteers. I want to highlight two volunteers here at Human Rights Action Center, Matt Burrows and Michelle Foster. They have spent countless hours working toward achieving our mission. I appreciate them both as well as all of our tireless volunteers.

It is HRAC goal to continue our fund our current projects like the Campaign to Print The Universal Declaration Of Human Rights Into Passports and the campaign for Leonard Peltier as well as add a few more in 2019 like:

UDHR Anniversary. We recruited Sting, Peter Gabriel, Gloria Steinem, Meryl Streep, Ai Weiwei, and others, to participate in the 70th Anniversary of the UDHR but were unable to obtain funding. We hope to retry in time for the women’s march.

Documentary. We have completed 90% of the documentary. Oscar winner Simon Egan signed on as a consultant to our producers. A rough draft will be available by end of January 2019.

Respect and gratitude,

Human Rights Action Center
